Busy mums share their lightning-fast beauty routines
Sanna Cooke Mum of three, Sanna, is a lover of bright lippy and always uses an SPF
The day starts with the kids’ breakfast. I’m usually half naked but I’ll throw on some activewear to walk my older daughter to school. Upon arriving home, I grab a quick shower – usually I wash my hair once a week. My current moisturiser is by Mecca Cosmetica, it’s super lightweight. I use it alongside a Garnier BB cream with SPF – my mum has beautiful skin and it’s due to applying SPF daily. If I’m heading out I’ll use a By Terry foundation, it’s beautiful. I dab it on with a brush. If I’m sleep deprived I’ll apply under my eyes first. Normally my little ones will be with me, they love to watch me put on makeup – and go through my collection. As I have oily skin I sweep Bare Minerals BAREPRO over my face to keep my makeup in place. Eyebrows! You can have the shittiest skin day but if your eyebrows are on track – you’re good to go. I use Pheonix’s Brow Queen Shadows. Often when I find something is missing from my makeup bag, the kids usually have it. It’s normally the mascara. I use a L’oréal mascara, it suits me, and I love the brush. Depending on

the day, I dab a bit of bronzer on, too. Whilst I’m applying, my daughter Suski shakes the mirror, that’s pretty standard. If I’m feeling a bit fun, I’ll add a Mecca Cosmetica highlighter. Normally my whole face takes four minutes to do. I’m a lippy gal and keep my collection with me in my rucksack. If I’m doing the school pickup, I’ll throw on Dr Hauschka’s Liquid Lip Colour 02 as it’s subtle, but my day time matte lippy of choice is Mehr by MAC, it’s super longlasting. I also love Flat out Fabulous by MAC if I’m heading for a night out.
