Oil recycling on trial

Manawatu Guardian - - NEWS -

Council begins a 12-month recycling trial for Palmerston North residents to get rid of waste motor oil. The free recycling is for non-commercial used motor oil in leakproof containers accepted at the Ferguson St Recycling Centre. The collection is to reduce the potential for used oil to get into the Manawatu¯ River. Used motor oil can contaminate groundwater, which can potentially harm fish, plants and humans.
