Folk singer to play

Mu­si­cian Richard Grainger has been per­form­ing on the Bri­tish Folk scene since the 1980s and plays at the Hokowhitu Bowl­ing Club on Satur­day Septem­ber 29. He has 14 al­bums and sev­eral mu­si­cal plays to his name, and a strong feel for tra­di­tional song. His folk-rock opera Eye of the Wind is a tale about Cap­tain Cook recorded by the BBC with nar­ra­tion by Sir David At­ten­bor­ough.
