Preschool centres merge

Manawatu Guardian - - NEWS -

The early childhood centres Rewanui and Wa¯ nanga came into the Puddleducks group in July.

Managing director Hamish Davidson said the centres are known as Puddleducks Rewanui and Puddleducks Wa¯ nanga.

He said the centres had been in the Karaitiana-Kennett family for 40 years and were due to close.

“We have been operating for 20 years and the centres were a mutual fit for Puddleducks Nursery and Preschools.

“These are nice vibrant communities and there’s a need for these services.

“We’re refreshing around the philosophy and bringing in new resources, and the opening times will move to the more conventional hours of 8am-5.30pm.”

Rewanui on Russell St is licensed for 30 children and Wa¯ nanga on Ward St has places for 40, and there are spaces available at both centres.
