Unique Realty Pro­fes­sion­als need more wall space for their lat­est col­lec­tion of sig­nif­i­cant shiny plaques. Their sales team did well re­cently at the Pro­fes­sion­als an­nual award cer­e­mony in Auck­land

Seven­teen awards in to­tal were handed out cer­e­mo­ni­ously to the de­lighted lo­cal Manawatu Pro­fes­sion­als agents. Pro­fes­sion­als new Palmer­ston North sales man­ager War­ren McGrath says it has been a priv­i­lege to in­herit such a ded­i­cated team and sug­gests a dis­pro­por­tion­ate num­ber of awards have come to this re­gion con­sid­er­ing the size of the lo­cal mar­ket. ‘‘As a team of 22 res­i­den­tial sales peo­ple we’ve done ex­cep­tion­ally well. We’ve got a very strong foun­da­tion, a huge client base with many re­peat sales and re­fer­rals.’’

Team Richard Jensen won Top Sales Team NZ, a great sur­prise and a real plea­sure for the fourmem­ber team of Ta­nia Young, Richard Jensen, Ca­role Hoff­man and Sarah Walls. Their hard work and ded­i­ca­tion saw them com­pet­ing against the Pro­fes­sion­als Auck­land of­fice where they listed and sold more houses than Pro­fes­sion­als Point Che­va­lier’s eight sales agents.

‘‘We’ve got a re­ally good team go­ing,’’ says Richard. ‘‘We com­ple­ment each other as we have dif­fer­ent styles and skills but we work to­gether well, get­ting the job done quickly and ef­fi­ciently.’’

Ta­nia, Richard and Ca­role are the sales agents, sup­ported by ad­min­is­tra­tor Sarah’s ef­fi­ciency for ev­ery­thing flow­ing smoothly. ‘‘There’s a lot to do be­hind the scenes,’’ says Ta­nia. ‘‘Lots of re­search, pa­per­work and ac­cu­rate record keep­ing so we’re very grate­ful to Sarah for keep­ing ev­ery­thing co­or­di­nated.’’

Team Jensen also se­cured Top Sales Team of the Year Cen­tral Re­gion and Richard won the 100 Mil­lion Dol­lar Club Award, Top 2 Per Cent Prop­er­ties, plus Top 2 Per Cent Sales Award and 500 Sales Club Award. ‘‘At the end of the day, we’re very proud of our achieve­ments but we’re part of a larger team and win­ning awards doesn’t change who we are,’’ says Richard. ‘‘We’re peo­ple from var­ied walks of life and points of view, work­ing to­gether for our clients.’’

Richard and Ta­nia have worked to­gether in a busi­ness part­ner­ship for 12 years, al­most six of these at Pro­fes­sion­als. Richard was a joiner and Ta­nia a reg­is­tered nurse. Ca­role has been in real es­tate for 15 years and joined Team Richard Jensen 15 months ago. Sarah has been their ma­jor ad­min sup­port per­son for the last three years. The nicest thing Team Jensen has ex­pe­ri­enced since win­ning their Top NZ Sales Team Award, apart from proud part­ners and chil­dren, has been the sin­cere con­grat­u­la­tions from other Pro­fes­sion­als of­fices. ‘‘It’s very hum­bling,’’ says Richard, ‘‘it makes the long hours all worth­while.’’

Pro­fes­sion­als brand orig­i­nated in Aus­tralia and there are around 60 Pro­fes­sion­als agen­cies that work as a co-op­er­a­tive, en­joy­ing a high pro­file and a sig­nif­i­cant por­tion of the mar­ket.
