Rasmussen 16th

Young Manawatu swimmer Mya Rasmussen finished 16th in the B final of the 200m individual medley at the junior Pan Pacific championships in Hawaii at the weekend. Swimming for New Zealand, the 16-year-old finished in 2:22.94. The New Zealand quartet of Kelsi Boocock, Rasmussen, Yeonsu Lee and Gabrielle Fa’amausili finished fifth in the 4x100m medley relay in 4:18.41. The Pan Pacs in Maui has drawn full strength teams from the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, China, New Zealand, the Pacific and other non-european nations, for swimmers between 13 to 18 years.
