Rose trials

National and international rose growers will soon learn which rose is judged the best grown at the trial grounds in Palmerston North’s Victoria Esplanade gardens. In the past two years, 40 roses have been grown and cared for by Palmerston North City Council staff at the trials. The roses are evaluated by a panel of 20 judges. Awards will be presented at the Dugald Mackenzie Rose Gardens on November 26 at 3.30pm.
