Aman jailed for his involvement in a large cannabis operation in the heart of Dunedin’s student quarter admitted he ‘‘got greedy’’. Dylan Pattison, 26, who jointly offended with two others, appeared before Judge Michael Crosbie in the Dunedin District Court yesterday. Hewas charged with cultivating cannabis after police found hundreds of plants with a potential yield of $476,000 in the Union St flat. The court heard Pattison became a ‘‘tenant’’ at the property from mid-march last year. A month later police began investigating the flat, where Pattison was involved in looking after the plants. The flat’s four bedrooms were each set up as a growroom, with drying areas, fans and ducting. On July 11, a front windowwas broken in an unrelated incident and the plants were moved into the roof space. Later that month, police found 353 cannabis plants. Pattisonwas jailed for two years and four months.
