Middlemore Hospital’s patient management system is undergoing an overnight upgrade from September 29 to 30. The upgrade will run from 10pm to 7am and will disrupt normal business as staff switch to a paper-based system in the interim. Patients are advised to expect waiting times to be increased and things to take longer as a result of this. The iPM system is the first upgrade the hospital has had since 2009, and will capture patient and GP data, inpatient activity, as well as schedule appointments.
