Re: sheets story

Marlborough Express - - COMMENT&OPINION -

In response to an article last week in the Marlborough Express regarding The Warehouse ‘‘dumping sheets’’.

As the manager of Bread of Life Trust who run the Sheets ‘n Things Linen shop, I would like to express my concerns around some of the comment in the report.

It is not our duty to tell any company how they should manage their business. I amsure, and as it turns out, there are many reasons for companies to dump stock. In this case apparently it was because the dye was running out of the sheets and would have rubbed off onto users. It was a valid reason for not selling them or having them being used. The Warehouse, as with many companies, have their policies and procedures around this type of thing and it is entirely their call.

I can only say that the Management and staff of Warehouse have always been extremely supportive, not only to us but to many charities in Blenheim. They are always willing to help out.

They do not deserve to be bagged considering how much
