Wash your whitebait
Whitebaiters are being warned to wash their catches from Blenheim’s paoa River due to raised E. coli levels. Marlborough District Court environmental health officer Karen Winter says whitebait fishers should wash their hands, their equipment and their catch under the tap at home to avoid getting ill. There is also a risk of crosscontaminating the kitchen, she warns. The council found high levels of E coli in the paoa River from damaged pipes after the November earthquake, though levels had fallen in the past six months. Other whitebaiting areas are not affected, Winter says. GST). Please contact the chamber or email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place by 3pm today.
