Straight back into protection work

Marlborough Midweek - - Front Page -

the island a number of times. On the last day just before getting on the ferry again, the rain came down properly so I wasn’t displeased to be heading onto a dry ferry.

A few hours later and I was on the Interislander back home. There are certainly some cool islands up north, and I look forward to going back again.

My team mate from Macquarie Island, Angela Newport came down from the Bay of Islands for a visit and we had a great week at Tui [ Nature Reserve]. We collected some mussels for dinner one day and individually flavoured and smoked them, set them outside briefly – before Ange’s labrador, Taylor, ate them all.

We took a trip to town and bought three chickens and a domestic rat. I’m hoping the rat will help me figure out ways to design better tracking tunnels for wild rodents. The priorities Sounds’ teens have are clearly clearly a bit different.
