BNI gets behind Marlborough Hospice
BNI members Alyson Wylds-Blackburn of New Zealand Home Loans, left, and Noel Noble of Aston Court Motel hand over a cheque to Hospice Marlborough fundraising and events co-ordinator Sandy Inwood and Hospice Marlborough manager Jude Dellebeke last week. BNI, a business and professional networking organisation, are national sponsors of Hospice New Zealand and in Marlborough the group members make regular contributions to the hospice. During the last year they have given children’s DVDs, reams of copier paper, tea and coffee, postage stamps, a 50 inch flat screen TV and cash used to buy an air mattress. These donations have totalled some $3500. Individual BNI members have also given their support, like Rod Thompson of Marlborough TV Services who installed Sky TV and Malc Russell of Russells Panel & Paint who gave time to sell raffle tickets. ‘‘We are really appreciative of the continued support we get from the local BNI members and hope you can run a story for us,’’ Sandy says.
