Good service stays on

Matamata Chronicle - - Building - By NICKI DAVIDSON

Cleaver Appliance may have changed locations but one thing remains the same, Brendon and Kaye Cleaver’s absolute commitment to personal customer service.

Covering the Matamata area including Tirau, Ngarua, Manawaru, the bottom of the Kaimai Ranges and Walton, Brendon’s fully stocked van can usually be there on the same day to attend to any problems with washing machines, fridges, stoves, dishwashers, dryers and other household appliances.

As a fully qualified electrical service technician with 15 years experience, Brendon has seen it all.

‘‘Some things we can help with over the phone, after 15 years you pretty much know what needs to be done and I enjoy it. The people contact is great, getting out on the road, the variety of jobs. It’s always good to have happy customers when you leave the house knowing you have improved their day.’’

Judging from the feedback they receive there are a lot of happy customers.

‘‘It’s really satisfying helping customers,’’ says Kaye.

‘‘We’ve had people comment on Facebook about us, and last year we were nominated for the customer service award at the business awards. One thank-you note sticks to mind, one of our favourite customers wrote a poem which read ‘ a woman who was once on the ball, hardly called a serviceman at all, but as the years dimmed her mind, she often would find that her problem was no problem at all’!’’

Mobile: Brendon’s fully stocked van is ready for just about any appliance issue.

Cleavers: Cleaver Appliances has now relocated to 9 Tui Street, opposite the public library.
