Science is questioned, blame laid

Matamata Chronicle - - Opinion/news -

A couple of years ago our grocery bill was less than $100 per week. Today it is well over that figure, and we are no longer buying any ‘‘small luxury’’ items. Four years ago our power bill was about $90 per month. Today it is close to $300 per month and we are economising on heating and other power usage. Our modest gasoline bill has also increased and the full effect of the Emissions Trading Scheme has not yet to hit us.

This Emissions Tax scam is an unwarranted, unnecessary, burden based on very questionable ‘‘science’’ and is hurting all New Zealanders with more impact to come.

Perhaps it is time for our prime minister and every politician who voted for the Emissions Trading Scheme to look at the results of the latest election in the USA where a disillusioned and angry electorate rubbished a once popular government because it failed them. It could and should happen here.
