Top turnout create splash at meet
Matamata swimming extraordinare Matt Stanley was feeling pretty tired at Matamata Swimming Club’s sponsored swim meet last Saturday.
He had spent two weeks training in Rotorua with the New Zealand High Performance Swimming Squad.

More than 300 of the North Island’s top swimmers gathered at Matamata Sports Centre for the annual sponsored swim meet which was well supported by a number of Matamata businesses.

Meet director Tim Rogers said it was the first time for a number of years that so many swimmers had attended the meet.
