Ambulance officers most trusted
St John chief executive Jaimes Wood is absolutely delighted ambulance officers have ranked most trusted in the Mood of The Nation Horizon Poll.
‘‘It is wonderful to see ambulance officers continuing to earn the respect and recognition for their service from the public that they deserve,’’ Mr Wood said.
St John is the largest provider of ambulance services in New Zealand.
St John covers 89 per cent of the New Zealand population and 97 per cent of New Zealand’s geographical area.
‘‘St John ambulance officers and their colleagues at St John provide ambulance services to New Zealanders 24/ 7 – 365 days a year,’’ he said.
‘‘ Our ambulance service treated and transported more than 370,000 patients last financial year and attended more than 305,000 emergency incidents.’’
‘‘ It is a credit to the dedication, hard work and compassion of our staff and volunteers that we continue to rate so well in these types of polls,’’ Mr Wood said.
