Lots on at chil­dren’s fun day

School’s in on Sun­day March 6 at Mata­mata Chris­tian School when hun­dreds of Mata­mata chil­dren will en­joy free fun and fan­tasy at the Com­mu­nity Chil­dren’s Day.

From bub­ble ma­chines to bouncy cas­tles, tod­dler town to top town and jump jam to muffins and jam, there will be some­thing to de­light ev­ery child.

There are $400 worth of prizes up for grabs in a colour­ing competition spread over preschool, years one to four and years five to eight. Down­load from the school web­site www.mata­mata.school.nz.

Story telling, pup­pets, go- karts, crazy good mu­sic, the Quest-A-Thon with a bike as the prize and lots more will en­sure ev­ery child will be fully en­ter­tained.

En­try is free and fam­i­lies are wel­come to bring a pic­nic lunch.

Food, cold drinks, tea and cof­fee can be pur­chased at the cafe´ on the day.

‘‘The day is open to the whole com­mu­nity and we hope whole fam­i­lies will come out to cel­e­brate Chil­dren’s Day,’’ or­gan­iser Spence Re­ichardt said.

‘‘It is im­por­tant to have this day to cel­e­brate God’s gift of chil­dren and the con­tri­bu­tion they make to our lives.’’ It was a day to share qual­ity time.

Mata­mata Com­mu­nity Chil­dren’s Day is or­gan­ised by Kid On The Rock Foun­da­tion and starts at 11am.
