Lots on at children’s fun day
School’s in on Sunday March 6 at Matamata Christian School when hundreds of Matamata children will enjoy free fun and fantasy at the Community Children’s Day.
From bubble machines to bouncy castles, toddler town to top town and jump jam to muffins and jam, there will be something to delight every child.
There are $400 worth of prizes up for grabs in a colouring competition spread over preschool, years one to four and years five to eight. Download from the school website www.matamata.school.nz.
Story telling, puppets, go- karts, crazy good music, the Quest-A-Thon with a bike as the prize and lots more will ensure every child will be fully entertained.
Entry is free and families are welcome to bring a picnic lunch.
Food, cold drinks, tea and coffee can be purchased at the cafe´ on the day.
‘‘The day is open to the whole community and we hope whole families will come out to celebrate Children’s Day,’’ organiser Spence Reichardt said.
‘‘It is important to have this day to celebrate God’s gift of children and the contribution they make to our lives.’’ It was a day to share quality time.
Matamata Community Children’s Day is organised by Kid On The Rock Foundation and starts at 11am.
