‘‘We have a cancer survivor in our team. I don’t think there is anyone on this Earth that can say they don’t know someone who hasn’t been affected by cancer,’’ Ms Curtin said.

The Soul Sisters have been training and fundraising since October last year and have already raised $3500.

Ms Curtin said they hope to raffle a quilt given the name Journey of Hope at Relay for Life as well.

Raffle tickets can be bought on the day.

‘‘So many local businesses and people have supported us and we can’t even begin to thank them for everything.’’

‘‘Our target is $5000 and I’m confident we will get there.’’
