The Mata­mata Sports Cen­tre is more than just a lo­cal swim­ming pool.

The com­plex holds a 25m heated in­door pool, spa pool, re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion plunge pool, dive pool, tod­dlers’ pool and an­other 25m pool out­side. There is also a bar­be­cue for hire and plenty of room on the grass area out­side.

The fa­cil­i­ties are well main­tained and the staff are friendly and help­ful.

What­ever your needs, there is some­thing for you at the Mata­mata Sport Cen­tre. Did you know, there is also a gym and squash courts based in­side the com­plex. What’s new: The Adult So­cial Swim Club is up and run­ning again on a Mon­day and Thurs­day evening at 6.30. New mem­bers are wel­come. This con­sists of an or­gan­ised pro­gramme for three dif­fer­ent lev­els of fit­ness.

Aqua­jog­ging is cur­rently run­ning in the dive pool. This is great for all lev­els of fit­ness from be­gin­ners through to the more ex­pe­ri­enced. Classes run Mon­day, Wed­nes­day and Fri­day 6.30am and 9.30am. $6 a class for a 45-minute session. Get­ting to the Mata­mata Sports Cen­tre: The cen­tre is lo­cated on Muera St, Mata­mata Open­ing hours are Mon­day to Thurs­day: 6am to 8pm Fri­day: 6am to 7pm Sat, Sun and pub­lic hol­i­days: 10am to 5pm

Adults $4, chil­dren $3, se­niors $3.50 (Costs do not in­clude use of the gym and squash courts).
