Contest calls for clever Lego creations

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

Spruce up your building skills these holidays because Matamata Paper Plus and Toy World are giving people the chance to put their talent to the test.

Using nothing but a bit of creativity and Lego blocks, the challenge is to build the best, the biggest and the most unique Lego creation.

This will be held at Matamata Paper Plus on Tuesday April 19 as part of the school holidays from 10am to noon.

Paper Plus store owner Graeme Guilford said this was a fantastic chance to give something different a go.

‘‘It is a bit of a challenge and a chance to use your imagination and try a few new things out.’’

Each year a national New Zealand Lego building competition is held.

Mr Guilford said this was a good way to promote that and get kids to come and show what they could do.

People of any age are welcome.
