Link suspected in shed burglaries
Three separate sheds were entered on Taihoa Rd South and a fourth property was disturbed on March 6.
A red Land Rover was taken at the first property, a chainsaw at the second and 40 litres of diesel at the third.
The Land Rover was later found on Old Te Aroha Rd, when another burglary was reported after a Ford Courier four-wheel drive registration number NU6051 and a Honda TRX 2000 quad bike were taken.
Matamata Police believe thefts are all linked.
The owner of the house that was disturbed reported seeing a small red car which police believe to be an automatic with a big exhaust
the and similar to a Toyota Celica.

A 22-year-old female was arrested after failing to appear at court.
A 19-year-old male was arrested and charged for a burglary at the Gamers Cafe.
The Matamata CIB travelled to Matawai and arrested a 26-year-old man for aggravated burglary at a Te Poi address in mid January.

A 34-year old Rotorua man was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary in relation to a Te Poi burglary in mid January.
It was reported to police that a pet fawn was shot in a paddock on Piakoiti Rd.
It was taken away by a truck without permission.
A 25-year-old man was arrested at a Matamata address. He appeared in Hamilton District Court on six home burglary changes. He is remanded in custody and is the fourth person to be arrested in relation to the burglary spree that has hit Matamata over the past six months.
A 17-year-old man was arrested for refusing a blood test after a vehicle was stopped on Matipo St
and for resisting police.
A 17-year old girl was charged after driving with excess breath alcohol.
