School musical will entertain
High School Musical is coming to Te Aroha. It will be performed live on stage and Matamata College head girl Emma Jobe will play one of the lead roles.
Following the success of Grease last year, the Future Te Aroha cast has been working hard to create this fun filled musical directed by Jordan Foulds from Auckland.
Among the cast are Emma Jobe and the head boy of Te Aroha College, who are respectively playing two of the main characters, Sharpey and Ryan.
The cast also features many familiar faces from the cast of Grease including Panga Chin as Troy.
Mr Foulds works with the senior acting classes while the choreographer Casey McAskie is the new dance tutor.
The centre is presenting two special school holiday shows on Thursday and Friday, April 28-29, at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this holiday treat.
Other shows are on Saturday, April 30, Friday, May 6, to Saturday, May 7, at 7pm and the final show is on Sunday, May 8, at 3pm.
