School mu­si­cal will en­ter­tain

High School Mu­si­cal is com­ing to Te Aroha. It will be per­formed live on stage and Mata­mata Col­lege head girl Emma Jobe will play one of the lead roles.

Fol­low­ing the suc­cess of Grease last year, the Fu­ture Te Aroha cast has been work­ing hard to cre­ate this fun filled mu­si­cal di­rected by Jor­dan Foulds from Auck­land.

Among the cast are Emma Jobe and the head boy of Te Aroha Col­lege, who are re­spec­tively play­ing two of the main char­ac­ters, Sharpey and Ryan.

The cast also fea­tures many fa­mil­iar faces from the cast of Grease in­clud­ing Panga Chin as Troy.

Mr Foulds works with the se­nior acting classes while the chore­og­ra­pher Casey McAskie is the new dance tu­tor.

The cen­tre is pre­sent­ing two spe­cial school hol­i­day shows on Thurs­day and Fri­day, April 28-29, at 10.30am. Ev­ery­one is wel­come to come and en­joy this hol­i­day treat.

Other shows are on Satur­day, April 30, Fri­day, May 6, to Satur­day, May 7, at 7pm and the fi­nal show is on Sun­day, May 8, at 3pm.
