Insulate with wool to keep out the chill

Matamata Chronicle - - Winter Warmth -

KEEP your family safe, warm and healthy for years to come with eco-friendly Green Sheep Insulation Solutions.

‘‘More than 40 per cent of a home’s heat is lost through the ceiling,’’ said owner Kane Burton-Brown.

‘‘Installing wool insulation in the ceiling is like wrapping the home in a woollen hat, creating a thermal barrier so the heat is not lost. Underfloor we use Greenstuf, which is manufactured in New Zealand and made from 100 per cent polyester fibre with no chemical binding agents or adhesives.’’

Wool is a natural, sustainable and environmentally friendly insulation solution.

It is non-irritating, nontoxic and has a high fire resistance.

Mr Burton-Brown said the top seller at Green Sheep Insulation Solutions was a blown-in product made entirely of sheep wool.

It works particularly well in low-ceiling situations, providing full cover straight to the edges.

The second best seller is a woollen blanket insulation.

Green Sheep Insulation Solutions covers the Bay of Plenty and the Waikato.

‘‘We don’t charge travel costs. We provide a fast, efficient and friendly service for a well-insulated home.’’

Green Sheep Insulation Solutions is 100 per cent Kiwi owned and always supports New Zealand made.

For the month of July, Green Sheep is offering all customers in the Matamata area 10 per cent off all ceiling and underfloor insulation.

‘‘We will visit you at your home and carry out a home assessment then give you a free no obligation quote.’’
