Stars spot­ted at school

Lit­tle Red Rid­inghood, Ron Weasley and Pippy Long­stock­ing were stu­dents at Mata­mata Col­lege last Thurs­day in an at­tempt to raise money for Vic­tim Sup­port.

Mata­mata Col­lege’s se­nior ex­ec­u­tive stu­dents de­cided to have a year 13 only fa­mous char­ac­ter mufti day.

Deputy head boy Daniel Peter­son, 17, be­lieved it was a suc­cess.

‘‘We were go­ing to do a mufti for Vic­tim Sup­port at the start of the year but they pre­ferred that we gave the money to Christchurch.

But now we are giv­ing it to them.’’

Daniel said the was pleased with the turnout and that he hoped the money raised would make a dif­fer­ence to those in need.

Year 13 stu­dent, Ly­naire Ec­cles said she en­joyed dress­ing up.

‘‘It was a fun way to end the term.’’
