Easier access to community news
Readers now have easy, free online access to their favourite Waikato Regional Community Newspaper.
Matamata Chronicle is now available through RealView which offers a number of improvements on our previous digital edition.
‘‘ This new service offers refinements for the online reader with new features and low-cost advertiser enhancements to promote businesses through their own weblinks or email addresses,’’ said Shaun Englebretsen, Waikato Regional Community Newspapers Central North Island manager. ‘‘We are also offering a new, easier, free subscriber service on a number of different platforms.’’
The new online version allows advertisers to have a published advertisement glowing when the mouse hovers over i. With a click of the mouse readers can then connect directly to the advertiser’s website or email address.
‘‘The online version will also allow us to offer new editorial and advertising functions using video content and other opportunities which will be unveiled as we continue to develop the site.’’
‘‘This is an exciting time for us as it means our readers are now able to access our papers on new technology from anywhere,’’ said Mr Englebretsen.
‘‘It will also enable us to offer a more interactive connection with our local communities and those further afield.’’
The Waikato-wide promotion through all the regional titles means that as the online subscriber base increases the reach for advertisers also widens.
In addition to obvious benefits for advertisers the new online version will make it easier for those with an interest in the Matamata community to stay in touch.
A simple registration process can be found by going to http:/ / wrcn. realviewdigital. com/ and clicking on the arrow to turn the page of your chosen publication.
