Matamata-Piako District Council is once again acknowledging business excellence with the Business Night Out 2011.

Invitations and nomination forms for the Business to Business awards have been sent out.

Businesses have until August 26 to nominate other businesses for the awards. This year’s categories are Customer Service and Business Excellence. Nominations can be made on official forms (which have been posted to local businesses, or can be collected from any council office), or by filling in a nomination form online.

‘‘We expect tickets to sell out again this year so if you want to attend, book your seats now as there are limited tickets available,’’ said Council communications officer Stephanie Slattery.

This year’s event on October 19 will include guest speaker Sir Ray Avery who went from being a homeless street kid to a successful businessman and scientist.

The top five nominees for the customer service category will go to public vote, so watch your local paper to have your say.
