It was seen at Buck­land Rd, Waikato Stud, in Wal­ton at Rich Hill Stud and even Swaps Yard ex­pe­ri­enced a few snowflakes.

MetSer­vice chief fore­caster Peter Kreft said that the strong bit­terly cold southerly flow was not ex­pected to­mor­row.

‘‘There is some way to go here be­fore it is all over,’’ he said.

‘‘The max­i­mum tem­per­a­ture is creep­ing up about a de­gree per day be­tween the end of the day un­til the end of the week.’’
