Over 60s set feet tapping

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

If you are looking for the opportunity to meet people, socialise and make new friends while enjoying a variety of stimulating activities then Matamata 60s Up is the group to join.

The very successful August meeting began with a pot luck fingerfood lunch accompanied by a lot of chatter, followed by the performance of a number of foot-tapping tunes from yesteryear.

The membership of Matamata 60s Up continues to grow steadily, as does the programme offered.

There is a regular monthly meeting with speakers or entertainment, lunch outings and now a monthly coffee morning.

The first bus trip, with a mystery destination, will be part of September’s programme.

The latest addition to activities is a ‘‘jigsaw’’ library which will be housed at a member’s home.

The branch meets on the second Monday each month at 1.30pm in the All Saints Anglican Church lounge, Hohaia St.

For further details phone Val on 888-4162 or Shirley 888-8724.
