Learn to man­age money

With New Zealand house­holds now spend­ing $ 1.15 for ev­ery dol­lar earned, national debt coun­selling char­ity Chris­tians Against Poverty has an­nounced that it will be of­fer­ing lo­cal res­i­dents in Mata­mata the chance to get their fi­nances on track and un­der con­trol with a free money man­age­ment course called CAP Money.

The char­ity has equipped Mata­mata Bap­tist Church to run the sim­ple three-week course that teaches good money man­age­ment skills, bud­get­ing tips and ad­vice on how to han­dle money wisely.

The course is open to ev­ery­one, is free and is be­ing held on Oc­to­ber 13, 20, 27 at the Bap­tist Church, Tower Rd at 7pm lounge.

Alan, who re­cently at­tended the course said: ‘‘CAP Money has changed my life im­mea­sur­ably. The peace of mind af­forded by the knowl­edge of where my money is ac­tu­ally go­ing has af­fected ev­ery as­pect of my life.The grat­i­tude I feel for this sys­tem is in­de­scrib­able.’’
