This year the trust will be be holding a carnival in celebration of its 30th anniversary for the whole community to enjoy.
Apart from food, entry and rides will be free of charge because of donations and sponsorship from local businesses, schools and supporters.
The carnival will be held at Totara Springs on Saturday, October 22 from 3pm to 6pm.
Organiser Jeanette Howden said the carnival was a great way for campers to thank the community and for the community to understand what the camp was about.
‘‘We hope that people will have a fun afternoon with us and recognise that we are all people, it’s just that some of us are wired differently,’’ she said.
