Open day at tower family fun
The Firth Tower Open Day is being held on October 30 and there will be something for everyone.
Treasure hunts for the children, croquet on the lawn and a wedding dress display in the church are all part of the open day activities at the Firth Tower Museum and Reserve.
‘‘We consider it a great way to celebrate the start of summer,’’ said Firth Tower Reserve Committee chairman Colin Kemplen.
‘‘ We encourage everyone to walk, bike or drive out to the tower and have some fun.’’
Mr Kemplen considers the tower to be a local treasure which should be enjoyed by the community. Entry to the open day is free and Devonshire teas are available for a small charge.
