Art in the tree real Christmas artistry

Matamata Chronicle - - Christmas Feature -

With Christmas just around the corner, Art on Main Gallery in Tirau has put up its tree and decorated it but not with tinsel and bells. Local artists have produced small pieces of art to sell for $20 each, displayed on easels and hung on the tree, and 100 per cent of the money made will be donated to hospice. These gifts are great for christmas presents or to display. The gallery is having an opening night on December 8 from 6.30pm where the art will go on sale. Entry is a gold coin donation and nibbles will be provided. Head along for an entertaining night supporting a charity dedicated to helping our community.

Madison Swap, 10, was chosen as the winner of the Christmas Poster competition. To see this year’s entries go into the office where we will have them on display.
