Pot­ter bulls and boner cows con­tinue to sell strongly at El­ders Mata­mata sale.

Prime: Heavy ox at 587kg made $2.27 a kg, prime heifers bet 370 – 645kg made bet $1.80 – $2.33/kg.

Boner Cows: Heavy fre­sian bon­ers 605 – 775kg made $1.60 – $1.81/kg, 530 – 600kg, fre­sian cows made bet $1.50 – $1.695/kg.

Cows weigh­ing bet 435 – 500kg made bet $1.37 – $1.15/kg, lighter jersey and cross bred cows 310 – 370kg made bet $1.30 – $1.46/kg

Bulls:

weigh­ing be­tween 688

– 760kg made bet $2.58 – $ 2.595/kg, bulls weigh­ing bet 570 – 630kg made bet $2.48 – $2.61/kg, bulls weigh­ing bet 385 – 558kg made bet $2 – $2.415/kg .

Wean­ers: A line of nine fre­sian bulls made $415 and lines of heifers and steers sold bet $250 – $380. Sales over Christ­mas/new Year pe­riod. Last sale of the year: Mon­day, De­cem­ber 19, 2011.
