Santa guest vis­its af­ter Scot­tish dance class

Chil­dren twirled around the hall in their Scot­tish at­tire at the end of year dance held at the Hin­uera Hall on Satur­day, De­cem­ber 3.

More than 50 peo­ple from Hin­uera Scot­tish Coun­try Danc­ing Club along with clubs from Te Kuiti, Toko­roa, Cam­bridge, Hamil­ton and Tauwhare all joined to­gether to dance and share af­ter­noon tea.

Santa ar­rived once the danc­ing had wrapped up much to the de­light of all the chil­dren.

Or­gan­iser Inge Schif­fer said it was great for all of those in­volved to come along and dance to­gether.

‘‘It is a way to get ev­ery­one to­gether from other clubs and the kids just love it.’’

The club, which has been in Hin­uera for just over a year, meets on Mon­day af­ter­noons to prac­tice.
