Earning from enterprise
Brooklynn Taylor, 10, left, and Niamh Rhodes, 9, decided to use their initiative and do something useful during their school holidays. To earn extra pocket money the pair sat outside the National Bank last week and sold brightly decorated vanilla cupcakes and scoobies. Scoobies are made from knotting and plaiting a thin plastic tube into friendship bracelets or key rings. They said if the rest of the day went well, they might be back to sell more.
