Rural businesswomen awards
Women running small rural businesses are being invited to promote their activities by entering the Rural Women New Zealand’s 2012 Enterprising Rural Women Awards.
The awards are open to small businesses with 10 staff or fewer. Other criteria are that the business must have been operating for at least two years, and women must be active partners, 50 per cent or more.
Rural Women New Zealand national president Liz Evans said this was the fourth year the Enterprising Rural Women Awards had been run. ‘‘They have been very successful in uncovering some exciting businesses run by women in rural areas,’’ she said.
Entry forms are on: ruralwomen.org.nz.
