Dedicated Rotarian mourned

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

James Robert Wheadon was an exceptionally community minded man who always put the needs of other people before himself.

As a well-known and respected member of the Matamata community, he was also a dedicated Rotarian who lived by the motto Service Above Self.

Fondly known as Jim to everyone who knew and loved him, he passed away suddenly at Tauranga Hospital on February 8, 2012 after a short illness. He was 72 years old.

Jim was farewelled yesterday at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, his place of worship, and is survived by his wife Joyce and sons Robert and Christopher.

Gone but never forgotten: Jim Wheadon.
