She was one of four Shar­rock-trained win­ners on the seven-race New Ply­mouth pro­gramme and a fore­run­ner to her sta­ble­mate Shez Sin­sa­tional’s big win in the Darci Brahma In­ter­na­tional Stakes at Te Rapa on Satur­day.

The day’s rac­ing at Te Rapa kicked off with a smart per­for­mance by the Cam­bridge-trained filly Roll­out The Car­pet, who showed im­prove­ment on her ear­lier fifth and third plac­ings for a con­vinc­ing win. That was all that her train­ers Jeff Mcvean and his daugh­ter Emma-lee Browne wanted to see to con­vince them that they had the goods to add to the mix for the Mata­mata fea­ture on Satur­day week.

Wait­ing to race: Oa­sis Rose, one of a strong con­tin­gent of vis­i­tors set to do bat­tle with the lo­cals in the $100,000 J Swap Mata­mata Breed­ers’ Stakes on Satur­day week.
