For spec­ta­tors look­ing for some­thing other than avi­a­tion, Ir­ish dance com­pany Celtic Fu­sion will be per­form­ing along with a Mata­mata Col­lege Rock Band and dancers.

‘‘One of the other big things planned that will be a crowd pleaser will be a race car and mo­tocross bike tak­ing on a plane and rac­ing it,’’ Mr Ryan said.

‘‘We are hold­ing this day be­cause it is some­thing for the com­mu­nity to come out to and en­joy – it is about hav­ing a day for fam­i­lies. ‘‘So come on out, there will be lots hap­pen­ing and we are still in the process of or­gan­is­ing even more events for the day.’’
