Farm­ers’ fuel tanks raided

Mata­mata po­lice are warn­ing farm­ers to keep their fuel tanks locked af­ter re­ports of fuel go­ing miss­ing and peo­ple try­ing to sell it cheaply. If any­one has in­for­ma­tion or no­tices un­usual ve­hi­cles on their prop­erty phone Mata­mata po­lice on 888 7117. Two teenage men were ar­rested for un­law­ful dam­age to a prop­erty A 20-year-old man was ar­rested for as­sault dur­ing a road rage in­ci­dent An 18-year-old and a mi­nor were ar­rested for breach of bail af­ter as­so­ci­at­ing with each other. Overnight a busi­ness premises was bur­gled and a large amount of meat was taken. Po­lice are fol­low­ing up in­quiries. A 32-year-old woman was ar­rested af­ter driv­ing while for­bid­den and her ve­hi­cle was im­pounded. A 32-year-old man was charged with a bur­glary. A 25-year-old man was ar­rested for driv­ing while sus­pended and had his ve­hi­cle im­pounded.
