Te Poi School bears and hair raise cash for chopper appeal

Matamata Chronicle - - News -

Te Poi School held a wacky hair day and teddy bear’s picnic on Friday to raise money for the Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance. Principal Linda Woolhouse said the children were aware of the importance of rescue helicopters as most live in very rural areas. An employee from Matamata Westpac attended and handed out prizes to the kids with the craziest hair styles. Schools across the district will hold wacky hair days as part of the Westpac Chopper Appeal month.
