Our social media profile growing

Matamata Chronicle - - Front Page -

The Matamata Chronicle recently relaunched its Facebook page and is now also on social media site Twitter.

Our new Facebook page is a business page which gives readers more opportunity to have their say, with features such as online polls.

Manager Milly Keys said social networking was an important tool for the Chronicle to be able to interact with the Matamata community.

‘‘We really care about what our community has to say about topical issues and changing our Facebook page has allowed us to do that.

‘‘We are grateful to all our loyal followers and are doing everything we can to give them more opportunity to let us know what is important to them.’’

The changes mean that instead of adding the Matamata Chronicle as a friend, you can now ‘‘like’’ our page. If you were already a friend of our old profile, you should have automatically ‘‘liked’’ our new page. We will now appear under things you have ‘‘liked’’ instead of on your friends list.

We work hard to keep our Facebook page up to date and each week upload new photos and give readers the opportunity to have their say on local issues.
