Benefit from Outward Bound

Matamata Chronicle - - Sport -

Rotary District 9930 now has three Outward Bound scholarships available district-wide.

This is a special opportunity, funded by the JR Mckenzie Youth Trust, for 16 to 18 year olds still at secondary school.

The 21-day course is for students who need to develop self-confidence, self-esteem, personal responsibility, motivation and social awareness. The course is from September 23 to October 13. Matamata Rotary is looking for a candidate who wants to challenge and better themselves, and show that they can give back to the community some of the benefits they receive from the course.

If this sounds like you, please contact Sheryl Ertel – work 888 7176 or 88 6973 – for more information.

Learning through Experience is the foundation of all Outward Bound courses.

Candidates don’t need previous outdoors experience to participate.
