To sustain the children’s wellbeing, morning and afternoon tea is provided as well as a hot hearty lunch with pudding.

Children at Kids Rock learn through play and forming relationships with their caregivers and other children so they become socially confident and self- regulating in time for starting their school lives.

One of the main aspects of school preparedness is the ability of the child to self-regulate, concentrate and have self-confidence.

A free bus is provided for children who come from town and surrounds.

The school was established in 1896 and maintains strong links to a supportive, caring community. The longserving staff are conscientious and always have the interests of their students at heart.

Values of caring for others, responsibility, curiosity, co-operation, integrity, resilience and selfdiscipline are important to everyone at Walton and are the foundation of the school. Academically, there is emphasis on literacy, numeracy, thinking/ problem solving skills and developing children’s technology skills for a 21st century learner.
