Team celebrates all things Matamata

Matamata Chronicle - - Welcome To Matamata -

If you have just moved to Matamata – welcome.

If you’re a long standing resident – nice to still have you around.

As your community paper I hope that, as you read each week, you will celebrate with us all things Matamata.

To give you a little bit of an insight as to who we are, the Chronicle is part of Fairfax Media, which includes 11 community newspapers in the great Waikato catchment area, as well as the Waikato Times.

We employ seven full time staff (you will see our faces on the back page of this Welcome to Matamata feature) who are all committed to bringing you the best paper we can each week.

We, like you, are part of the community, shopping locally, with our children attending school here and supporting local events and organisations.

As a business, we know that we have to change with our environment.

People’s needs and wants change, new habits are formed, that is why we have embraced and added the digital format to our printed form. By that I mean, while you can still enjoy popping out to the letter box and grabbing your copy of the Chronicle, you can now read us online, join us on Facebook or give us a tweet on twitter.

We want our community to enjoy, engage, participate and communicate with us how ever they choose.

That is what a community paper is all about.

With that said, my door is always open to anyone who wants to pop in for a cuppa and a chat.
