Matamata Chronicle - - News -

Noel Harris has been a leading light in New Zealand racing for decades and this Thursday night, August 16, he will officially launch the story of his time in the saddle.

In an evening at the Matamata Race Course, hosted by the Rotary Club of Matamata, Noel will be interviewed by top race caller Tony Lee, outlining stories from a career spanning more than four decades at the top of the racing game in New Zealand.

The book, Harry – The Ride of My Life, has been coauthored by Matamata racing journalist Wally O’Hearn and copies will be available for purchase on the night.

Tickets for the Evening with Noel Harris event are $10 and are available from Matamata Paper Plus or at the door. The evening will commence at 6pm.

Some of the proceeds from ticket sales will be used by the Rotary Club of Matamata in youth-related projects within the local community.
