Po­lice were alerted to a man dressed in black look­ing into the com­puter room at Mata­mata Col­lege.

Tues­day, Au­gust 28

A 19- year- old man was ar­rested for breach of bail af­ter pre­sent­ing him­self to the Mata­mata Po­lice Sta­tion.

Po­lice were called to a truck crash on Man­gawhero Bridge, where a large quan­tity of of fuel spilled on the road.

A Mills Cres res­i­dent came for­ward with con­cerns that two of his cats had been ex­posed to anti-freeze poi­son­ing.

Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 29

A 38-year-old woman lo­cated at a mo­tor camp was ar­rested on a war­rant.

Po­lice in­ves­ti­gated the bur­glary of a Wa­haroa house, where the front door had been smashed in and a tele­vi­sion, lap­top and jew­ellery were taken.

Thurs­day, Au­gust 30

At mid­night a 28-year-old man was ar­rested for breach of his bail con­di­tions and taken through to Hamil­ton.

A 20- year- old man was ar­rested on a war­rant for fail­ing to ap­pear in the Mor­rinsville Dis­trict Court.

Fri­day, Au­gust 31

Two 28-year-old men were ar­rested and charged with as­sault af­ter an in­ci­dent that oc­curred in the town cen­tre at 10am.

Satur­day, Au­gust 1

At 1.45am, a 20-year-old man was ar­rested and charged with as­sault af­ter an al­ter­ca­tion on Wa­haroa East Rd. Al­co­hol was a fac­tor and po­lice will be fol­low­ing up with other peo­ple in­volved in the lead-up to the in­ci­dent. Po­lice are dis­ap­pointed in the be­hav­iour of those in­volved, who took no ac­tion to as­sist.

Overnight, a cow­shed on Raukawa Rd was bro­ken into and an au­to­matic teat sprayer, a com­pres­sor, a grey tubu­lar con­trol box and a gal­vanised steel dis­tri­bu­tion unit con­trol box were taken. The equip­ment was val­ued at about $10,000. Po­lice sus­pect that it was pur­posely stolen to or­der.
