Out­stand­ing at­ti­tude

On Thurs­day Septem­ber 6, 24 students from Mata­mata Pri­mary School trav­elled to Mor­rinsville to com­pete in the 2012 gym­nas­tics com­pe­ti­tion.

Mata­mata Pri­mary did very well with eight of the students go­ing to the Re­gion­als in teams of four. Four of the girls will go as in­di­vid­u­als.

The Mata­mata Pri­mary teams dis­played won­der­ful be­hav­iour, they all fo­cused on their rou­tines and showed out­stand­ing at­ti­tude throughout the day. They have been prac­tis­ing for about two terms.

The girls gave up nearly all of their lunchtimes to prac­tise and a spe­cial thank you to all those who coached the girls and to all the par­ents that pro­vided trans­port. Re­sults: Springer’s. – 1st team: Heather Hills, Nina Trumm, Re­nee Purdy.

Fly­ers. – 1st Team: Elise Holdsworth, Emma Far­relly, Shawna Stoner, Aroha Ogilvy.

Twisters. – 1st Team: Char­lotte Chittick, Madi­son Swap, Mor­gan Nor­ris, An­nalese Temm.

Twisters. – In­di­vid­u­als: 1st An­nalese Temm, 2nd Char­lotte Chittick, 3rd Mor­gan Nor­ris.
