Boy shows courtesy

Matamata Chronicle - - Opinion -

On October 25 I was sitting in my vehicle on Firth St when I noticed four Matamata College boys walking along the street chatting. At the same time there was an elderly lady walking on the other side of the street with a walker.

It was then that I noticed one of the boys walk on to the road putting his hand up to slow the traffic down and went and helped the woman cross the road.

I congratulate that lad for she was struggling to cross the road because of the traffic and she could not move very fast.

It’s wonderful to know that we have some caring young people in our society as we hear of so many negative things happening with our young ones that I really wanted to share this.
